    Wine cooler temp sensors

    IMG_20161213_115407.jpgIMG_20161213_115317.jpgIMG_20161213_115343.jpg

Hi all. Not been on for some a while for various reasons, which I won't bore you with!

Got a customer with a wine cooler, with only the name of 'Discover' on the front door. From the pics can anyone advise whether the temp sensors are likely to be PTC or NTC.
The display shows 'E2' after a few minutes, and shows 'E1' if sensors are disconnected from pcb.

    Many thanks, in advance

Disconnect working sensor and connect it to multi meter set on ohms, warm the sensor in your hand, if the resistance goes up its a ptc, if it goes down its an ntc probe.
Mostly found in Oxfordshire, UK :)

    Thanks MS.
Sensors are NTC. I was secretly hoping someone could identify the machine, and give some more information! There are two sensors, one is easy to see, but the other is either on the evaporator, or buried somewhere in the insulation. I have temporarily fitted a digital controller, and appears to be ok for now.
