    Cordless vrs corded Tools!

    Hi Guys.
I was talking to a plumber the other day, who advised me that as of 2017.
On NHBC Housing Projects (New Builds I suspect?)
    (U.K. Regs Only Maybe?)

The use of Corded tolls will be banned?
I like many others have a Skill Card which has been Paid for and Issued to Me.
So that when necessary on New Builds.
I can Install and or Commission Chillers and A/C Equipment etc.

I cannot achieve this with purely cordless equipment!
Anyone know anymore about this and how it is going to work?

We work for a large house builder and they do not provide mains power on site. If you want juice you have to bring your own generator. I think it's more of a cost saving excercise than a H&S thing.
It's always fun in January when they want the heating on but have no 240 on site.

    Hi Eggs.
    Thanks for the reply.
It does indeed sound like a cost saving thing.
    Time will tell.
    Thanks Grizzly

Never use cordless, If there's no electricity on site I can't work anyway.
Murphy said once that batteries run out just when you need the power.....
