water chiller for 1000 usg tank

What will be the capacity of refrigeration unit to cool water from 40 degree Celsius to 20 degree Celsius of a 1000 gallon us tank. The consumption of water for 24 hours is 200 gallons. Please reply as earliest. Minimum water cooling time is 6 hours.

It is best to not post the same request in multiple threads.

    Hi
Because you did not give design specifications of the system, the values I quote will be approximate.
    Considering the system is insulated.
You need 5 HP condensing unit to cool 900 gallons of water from 40C to 20C in 6 hours.
To compensate for 200 gallons of consumptions for 24 hours you need 0.5 HP condensing unit.

Considering the system is insulated, after the water is cooled to the design temperature you do not require a large condensing unit.

I would use a 1 HP 12000btu outside A/C condensing unit and leave the unit running continuously, which will catch up the desired temperature in 33 hours and compensate for the continuous consumption of 200 gallons. per day.

As you are only using 200 gallons (US) a day (760 litres) you should base your calculation on this - not the tank capacity.
