    Red face CAREL, MCQUAY, TRANE Controller reparing !



    Hello,

    What do you think about reparing CAREL controllers ? is it required by some one ?

    I think that it cost lowest than bouth a new one !

    We succed to repaire more than 10 CAREL contollers by replacing the main board .

    Chipper buy from e-bay and load firmwire.

    My 2 cents:

    Of course it depends on the type of failure. I have been working for the HVAC industry programming CAREL controllers. What I can tell you is that PCOx family is not expensive if you compare with other brands. If the problem is software, as Rusbuka said, you can load firmware by using the PCOLoad tool. However, if the problem is hardware you will have to change the component that is not working properly, sometimes that is difficult to identify and the simplest (not cheapest) way is to change the board.
