Hi, I've joined the forum after 3 years as an apprentice in the industry.

I'm looking to continue with education when I come out of my time, so the options are the HNC/HND route or an open uni degree such as Mechanical Engineer BSc - the reason for this is I seen a job advert for Royal Caribbean and it was a requirement for refrigeration engineer. I thought it'd compulsory for chief refrigeration engineer but not just an engineer. Does anyone know any more about this?

I want to work on the cruise ships eventually and was wondering on the best pathway to this? Such as experience needed with smaller firms and quals. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
