    R410A For -10C Evaporating Temp

I was going through Sanyo DC Scroll compressor and it is rated for -15 to 12 C evaporator temperature using R410A. So I was thinking if I could build a system around it for making ice as a thermal storage and need evaporator temp of -10C.

Good on you , your point being?
you may need to use a HX as a glycol cooler at -10'c SST at compressor, and possibly get sub zero glycol temps, dependant on compressor performance etc.. and compression ratios, ambient temps etc..
A little more info would help.

Would prefer to avoid glycol in the primary look rather freeze the tank directly with DX evaporator..

    Hi Boss.
you obviously want to build an ice bank for thermal storage. You would be best advised to select a low temp scroll designed for the purpose
Earlier I asked for more information on what you wanted to acheive, can you elaborate ?.
are we talking a few kilowatts or meggar watt ice banks.
