Special Precautions for AC units in highly Dusty Conditions
Hi Masters,
I am working on a project in a highly dusty condition.
My site is in the Middle East High Ambient region, 2.5 km away from sea shore and all the time we have wind and highly dusty atmosphere. I have more than 4000 Daikin Invereter type Split and Cassette AC in this project.
Can anybody suggest any special precautions / care I have to take on preventive maintenance and service aspects ???
Thanks in advance

Re: Special Precautions for AC units in highly Dusty Conditions
Hopefully the condenser coils have been pre-treated for the salt atmosphere.
You will need to be monitoring the state of the condenser coils to prevent any buildup of salts and sands etc which will create heat dissipation problems.Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

Re: Special Precautions for AC units in highly Dusty Conditions
The condenser coils are pre treated.
The client was asking for a scheduled maintenance.
My suggestion was to monitor the condenser monthly.
Quarterly scheduled cleaning of coils with fresh water jet stream.
If its severely chocked, cleaning to be done as and when required.
Is that fair ??

I would suggest contacting this company for additional protection against dust for the outdoor units.

i would think that would be when it is most economical, what is the cost of continuously washing the units in water and labour terms?
