Oil return Capillary on Dailin VRV3

    Hi all!

Had an oil capillary come off on a Daikin VRV3, can anyone explain the working principle of this, can't seem to get much out of Daikin on this and their VRV3 manuals don't seem to cover this. I understand the capillary/pressure drop theory but why on an oil return?? Why not just a quarter pipe???

    Any help appreciated, thanks.

Probably because if you use a 1/4" pipe you will pump refrigerant at high temperature through it.

Do you mean the oil return capillary from the bottom of the oil separator or the oil equalisation line?
