    Grasso Z61

    Hello,
    I have a 2 stage Grasso plant running a Z61 screw into a P1 screw
I think the bearings are on the way out on the Z61 and I have been tasked with finding a new one. as the boss cant afford the down time he wants to just switch them over rather than send it away.
Can anybody help?? Has anybody even seen one of these screws before?
Any info on who has one or where I can find one to overhaul would be great thanks?

    Jinxed,
Have you asked the question to Gea Grasso, as maybe buy a new spare & then overhaul spare.
Seriously doubt someone has an old one to sell & even if they did you would not know condition.
If you want to change thrust bearing, it can probably be done in position in a day.
These applications client should buy spare machine in advance, as if it's cactus how much money does he lose a day!

Interesting site HVAC but if it's a Grasso I reckon get a new one.
Their parts are so expensive if you get the full kit, mains bearings etc.
As soon as you have to reclaim or machine something it's all out the window.
They sell new compressors cheap, then try to catch you on parts.
