EDC inveter checker
Went to a call today to a daikin rzq125s. Got L1 fault and unit not running. So I thought I'd try the inverter checker I bought from HRP many moons ago. Now there are two identical Daikins on site. Connected up to 1 as the instructions state, switched on and set the unit to run, no joy. Connected to the working unit, no joy?? Is the thing goosed straight from the supplier or are they not compatible with daikin??
Any thoughts??
Ps found F6 failed so replaced, found faulty cfm, readings from pins all over the gaff!!Last edited by CraigF; 04-04-2015 at 11:20 PM. Reason: Poor grammar

daikins rzq's do have 4 terminals to the pot- a neutral to discharge voltage when it stops- as long as your connected to red,yellow,blue then it should work, got the daikin service checker - it does suggest not keeping it connected too long as it can get fried, also the inv circuit can detect low current and throw another fault up

Where does the 4th wire connect to then?? I'm not getting any lights at all on the EDC!. The wires to the pot are red white and blue. I can only see three?? Confused.com!

I might be wrong but I think it has something to do with
the Vector control (the way the frequency is generated).
Again I'm not 100% on this because I'm not into AC controls,
but I understand some inverter checkers can't test the vector
control and the inverter has to be switched manually to PAM / PWM mode.
Then check the inverter and remember to switch it back to Vector mode.
Just bear in mind that all that might be completely wrong and I'm talking
rubbish again........................................................................................

Just a little side note on this one, forgot to add this... Went back to site to rectify the RZQ, had two identical units on site. After a bit of digging and head scratching after fitting the parts. Whoever had installed this had mis-wired the units, mixing up the indoors and outdoors. These had been like this for approx. three years!!
Just goes to show that not everything is always as it should be, and what it takes for these things to come to light... Note to self, always check everything from the ground up, and never make assumptions! another satisfied customer.
