Trying to determine if have a bad terminating thermostat
The symptoms is the freezing compartment of a dual -temp refrigerator is allowing the food to become warm durning the defrost cycle. is the defrost terminating thermostat defective? or cycle timer or timer controller defective ?

One or all three!! How long is a piece of string?
Any one of those controls could prevent the refrigeration cycle
from switching on after a defrost or during a defrost (if required).
You will need to test individually and prove each component is
either faulty or sound and then you will know.

This might be a late reply but s the evap fan shutting off when its defrosting?
Training may be finished but experience is never complete.
