no, clear the inactive alarms. Hold up arrow and alarm button for 5 seconds to access inactive alarms then clear everything.

Clearing the inactive alarms will not remove the Technician reset alarm, it is designed to stop drivers clearing alarms and then destroying engines.

It's my belief that you cannot clear this without trutech, that's until the pedal pushers get the software! It's activated by me after an engine rebuild.

it's in the newer software revisions. It's setting that by default is off but turned on by as Cad mentioned to prevent engine failures from drivers constantly resetting alarms. It will only allow you to clear an engine overheat code I believe three times.

It can be cleared via keypad, but it's better if customer will see you delete it with pc.
Engine oil 3 times will give the same alarm. For engine protection you should not give
    out this info publicly.

nice, doesn't help when the water pump fails, dumps it coolant and keeps on running.
is the latest software still 05.09.00 ?

The thing is, after heating up several times, the water sensor can become defective,
then the unit will only give check at next service intrval alarm, not shutting down the unit.
Believe me i have seen cylinder heads cracked in three places due to overheat.
That's why drivers should not know how to clear alarm.
    Hope you understand.
