    Commisioning query

    Hi There,

I have a daikin altherma LT system with UFH and Solar panels on roof, on a new Build. Each individual part of this system seems to have been commissioned by 2 different companies, ie the installer and the UFH people. The solar panel controllers all show different values across the development.(some are showing the Tk max as 250 degrees!) My question is, is it possible to achieve max efficiency of the system if 2 companies have set their part of the system independantly of one another? Is it also possible that the UFH is not performing as expected due to the installer setting the 3 port valve round the wrong way?

    Any help out there?

    Re: Commisioning query

it is difficult to be specific but all to often when you have various contractors installing a common system mistakes are made both mechanically and control wise electrically. You need to find who was responsible for the final system commissioning and who has the comm sheets to prove it has been done correctly and to the design criteria. Often equipment is left set up on factory settings as the system works to a point but with no thought as to system and energy efficiency and design . Often when you design a race horse via a commitee you get a donkey
And yes 3 way valves are often fitted and controlled wrongly due to contractors unfamiliar with the devices they are installing
