    daikin vrv iii

    I have a problem with a daikin vrv, I am not getting enough heat into all rooms the system is supplying. Air off temps with full demand are between 27 and 32 degrees c. There are 3 condensers on the system, they are a REMQ10P8Y1B a 12 and a 16 serving 12 ducted indoor units. The condensers run for around 15 minutes and then the coils start to frost up. I've got pressures of 25 Barr discharge 6 Barr suction and 27 Barr hot gas line oh and it's on 4 10 a. Any help very welcome

    Depends partly on the ambient temperature. Make sue that the index numbers of the indoor units are not grossly oversized for the condensing units. Is it all of the indoor units that do not get hot enough or only some of them? Turn a few of the indoor units off and see if the temperatures change. Check the temperatures at the fan coils using Code 41. The pressure seem a little low.

    Hi Ryan,

    Assuming this system has worked normally in the past;
    First thing to verify is the system's charge.

    Reclaim, weigh and then make your diagnose according to what the scales tell you.

    (OK, you can get an idea of the gascharge by looking at the discharge temperatures when the system is running flat out in heating, normally you should see a discharge temp of around 80 degrees C but if it is up towards the 100 mark or even above then you have lost refrigerant somewhere)

    If it is a recent startup then check the diversity, perhaps the system were never designed to operate flat out in heating.

    vrv 3 have auto charge function and containment check- if it was initiated when comissioned then it will check its performance and alert if it has lost gas- typically discharge press around 33 bar and suction 8

    Put it through a test function and see what errors come up

    Discharge 100 and above its normal for heat mode.
    The heat exchanger of the outdoor unit should all frezze.
