    Question Vector 1850 overload code

Have a vector that seems to bring up
An overload code every now and then.
Have checked for 12v on HC19 and 2MP26
As stated in help book and checked
    Nothing going to ground.
    Passes a pretrip no dramas.

    Anyone else experienced this?

Apologies for all the vector questions,
Recently have been given a heap to look
After. Worked for a TK dealer for ten years
And only recently getting solid time on Carrier
    Any TK questions fire away

    Re: Vector 1850 overload code

what exactly is overloading ? If it passes a pretrip, it might be related to the ambient and conditions.
Is the condenser clean ? Enough gas ?
Is there sufficient space under the fridge for the air to get out ? (for our european viewers, the 1850 is commonly used on the lead trailer of a multi combination, commonly with a fuel tank sitting very close underneath it)
And lastly is the truck pulling it close coupled ?(like a freighliner Argosy)

    Re: Vector 1850 overload code

It happened over the weekend and I was having a look at it today. Doesn't say what actually
Overloaded. Had fault I100 in fault list when I turned it on and report from driver on wknd just
Said shutdown a couple of times with overload code.
It's coupled under a Mercedes prime mover with plenty of breathing space. (B Trailer)
Do the ground modules intermittently play up?
Is there a correct procedure for testing the generator as when you test between line to ground
    There is continuity.
What are the resistances for the compressor and generator ?

Alarm 100 is overload/ground fault. At least on an 1800. If it does have an OGF module, need to look at it if you catch it shutting down and see if the LED is on or off to determine if it shutdown on overload or ground fault.

    Caught it shutting down today.
No LED on. Shutting down in Pretrip
Test 2 after it had energised the comp
Contractor and held in for a little while.
    Megger everything and tested everything
Again. From generator L1,2&3 0.4 ohms
    To ground.
Ten mins later started up ran and passed a pretrip
No dramas. I'm thinking the OGF is faulty
And I'll go over earthing connections

    Quite possibly right.
I have seen faulty OGFs before, and your description is almost exactly what I experienced.

    Replace OGF, job done!

I have also changed several OGF that were bad.
