    Which gasket material?

Looking to buy a sheet of gasket material so I can make my own gaskets. Has to be compatible with ammonia and iso 68 compressor oil (mineral I believe). Temp range between -20 and 200 Fahrenheit. Thank you.

Try Garlock 2930. R/S uses it for their bonnet gaskets. Garlock's web site can tell you where to buy it.
Then (if you don't have one) buy a gasket cutter. McMaster-Carr #3870A1 or equivalent.
    Cut the outside ring first.

Actually, which sheet of gasket material from the McMaster Carr catalogue is good? I was thinking graphite with nitrile binders.

Suggest one of their tech rep's recommends to you.
Nitrile ok for gas but not liquid ammonia.

I've been using this stuff for years on Ammonia. It's very good but very expensive
The beauty of it is it's very soft & cuts out perfectly

PTFE gaskets are the bomb. Super chemical resistant.

Chloroprene is also a good option for ammonia systems.
