Re: fridge and freezer door not seal properly

Hi Keith, keeping safe I hope.

Door seals are simple plastic with magnet strips built in.

It is often found that the flexible part between the door part and the seal part have splits which allow air in.

If small you might be able to add some flexible sealer to cover the split but it is best to replace the seal.

Hinges can go out of adjustment due to bad usage.

Normally a couple of screws to tighten up, maybe a worn pin.

    Hi kefah.
    good to here from you.
As per Brian UK, it is always hinges that wear and need adjustment.

If the floor is not level it can make the fridge or freezer twist then the door does not fit well, sometimes they have adjustable feet to level them when the floor is bad.
Mostly found in Oxfordshire, UK :)

I concur with Mr Spanners. Always check that the appliance is level left to right, and front to back. Before adjusting the hinges.

check for alignment of the doors at first. if alignment is ok and doors seem to be properly aligned with the body but still there are spaces left between the body and gaskit(rubber part where magnet goes) try to use warm water or a mild heater-heater. this will resolve i hope
