Hi guys, Currently doing some college work and have came across to explain the operation of this type of system. Could someone explain in detail as to how this works please.

It looks like a cascade system.

The medium temperature circuit is providing extra subcooling of the low temperature side.

The scheme, as shown, seems to to be short of some compressors for the low temperature circuit however.

Looks like part of a CO2 system as per supermarkets not too sure is sub or trans critical though.

    .

In my opinion you have been given half a drawing as
home work and have been asked to complete it?

Drawings like that do not exist in printed form because they
    are not complete.

It shows only part of a circuit and bits are missing, are you sure you
    weren't asked to complete it?
