    F-Gas question

I have read on a leaflet from a supplier that from 1st January 2015

"there must be no maintenance or servicing undertaken on R22 equipment that involves breaking into the refrigeration circuits"

I am reading this as you can no longer fit gauges to R22 systems unless you are decommissioning the system , is this correct ?

    Yes that is correct.

If you put gauges on then all you can do is remove the gas for disposal.

An Interesting question gsracer. With the correct answer given by Brian!
Many still have yet to comprehend the full significance of Jan 1 2015.

Despite the minimum training of 2079. There are huge numbers of R22 systems around and little being done about it.
2015 will be an interesting year no doubt.

Yes Grizzly, I think that a few people will come unstuck when we are unable to "perform" our magic on some of these older systems.
