    yellow jacket vac pump

Valves (or something) may be going in my "not so old" vac pump. Are they repairable for a reasonable price. There is a lot of clackety clack going on.

Mines been doing something similar for a while, i think you can get a new 'cassette' for them and keep the motor and ali housing original.

I wasn't impressed with the YJ from new, so have taken the chance to try a JB one instead.

I found a cartridge but it is $250. I though there should be a better (cheaper) way. Which JB did you get?

Its jb platinum 2.5cfm, though its 3cfm on 60hz, not sure what hz you got there! I never use bigger hoses so a higher cfm is wasted on me

    60hz is all North America.

The JB looks like you can repair without buying a cartridge that costs 2/3 of a new pump. Might be the way to go.
