Problem with freezer fan.
I am looking at a upright freezer for a mate.
it is a Westinghouse 380 L frost free.
It is cooling at the bottom where the evap is , but as it has a duct in the back with a JRM fam motor , to distribute cold air from evap to top of freezer.
This fan does not run has 240 V in and 240 V out
there is a red alarm light on the front indicating an alarm has gone off.
For this freezer to defrost , i think it works on a klixon.
What could be the causes for the fan not to run.Last edited by fridg; 12-04-2006 at 04:01 AM.
The primary function of the design engineer is to make things difficult for the fabricator and impossible for the serviceman.
