Thermostat compatibility
Hello there!
This is my fisrt post
Ok straight to the point:
I am looking for a 3ART29VAA2P thermostat for my zanussi because the one it has right now it will never turn the heater on and the fridge is full of frost. I made a small research and I found out that this thermostat has these specifications:
cold out -32,0° C
warm out: -12,5° C
constant: +4,5° C
It is similar to Ranco K 59 - L 2534 according to this page:
http://www.europart-service.de/katal...nco_304771.htm
I found on a local store some thermostats that say Ranco K59 and have these specs:
Cold out -26c, Warm out -11c, Defrost termination +3.5c* (*constant cut in). Capillary length 1200mm
My question is: CAN I USE THEM?
Thank you guys!

Re: Thermostat compatibility
Did you ask for a genuine replacement to Zanussi?

Re: Thermostat compatibility
They insisted on taking the refrigerator to their site and when I asked them just for the replacement part they wouldn't sell it to me...Completely unprofessional atittude

Re: Thermostat compatibility
Just a thought, based on your post your saying the stat does not turn on your heaters to defrost the unit, have you checked the stat to confirm that it is the cause?

Re: Thermostat compatibility
I connected the heater to the mains manually and it worked. Do u think that the problem could be something else?

Re: Thermostat compatibility
am not familer with the type of unit that u speak about but, most not all units would also have a timer in the circuit that sends unit on defrost your unit might not, if the heaters are wired off the stat then,my bad have never seen unit where heaters are controlled by only a stat. if that is the case well i have learnt something again

Re: Thermostat compatibility
You can look the following link about how the stat controls the heater without timer.

I already bought the Ranco K59 stat cause it was really cheap (10 pounds or 15 euros) and I will try it the following days. I'll keep you informed about the results.
