Hi dear,

I want to calculate the efficiency of chiller ( York YEAJ99MU7 ). Please help me to derive.

Chiller efficiency does mean chiller energy efficiency. Calculate the chiller actual capacity and check how much electricity is consumed to get this output.COP is term of to find out the chiller efficiency. To calculate the chiller capacity finds this formula.
GPM*DELTA T/24.
To find out the COP
Actual thermal kilowatt of chiller divided by electrical input of chiller (thermal kilo watt/electrical input). higher cop means higher efficient of chiller.

That's (US gpm)*(°F delta T) / (24) = tons of cooling.

(Tons)*(12,000) / (3412) = kW of cooling

kW of cooling / kW of electrical input = COP
