    compressor burned 4 capacitors

    Hi
i get a call from my friend
he said that his 24000 btu split ac unit had bad capacitor
so he replaced it with same size and specification
he said the unit worked perfectly for 30 min then stopeed working
so he replaced the capacitor again and the unit worked for 30 minutes then stopped working
then replaced for third time then forth time with same result
    the compressor is rotary type
    made by LG

And the measured running current of the compressor is?

Did he test the capacitors or just guess that they were at fault?

One definition of insanity is performing the same task over and over and expecting a different result, haha. I can maybe see changing it once without checking the current draw, but 3 times?

Most likely caused by compressor drawing excessively high current.

With the situation Iraq is in at this time, i'm thinking a stable power grid might be a problem. Low or fluctuation voltage.
