    Mitsubishi Cassette - seepage

    Morning people,

    Quick question!

I have installed on a site a 2001 Mitsubishi City Multi on R407c.

Off that condenser I have an eight way box with 3 wall units and 5 cassette units, the compact type (not the 600x600, but not the standard size either, the size in between) a PLFY-P40VKM-E.

I've noticed on each of the 5 cassettes there seems to be a slight stain/seepage in a corner of the cassette on the decoration panel - its the same corner on each cassette! I can't make my mind up if its water or oil will investigate further.

The system doesn't appear to have a leak as I've leak tested to the correct pressures and over a 48 hour period but seems strange whatever it is! PLEASE SEE PIC 20140812_081300.jpg

Has anybody else ever come across this problem? maybe an internal solenoid or expansion valve passing oil? Pass.

    Cheers

I have seen similar stains to be from condensate a lot. Just make sure your condansate pumps are working properly.
