R22 ***** import to Canada from the U.S.
Appears to be a large price difference for R22 in the US compared to Canada. I would like to purchase from the US and ship across the border. Looking for instructions on how to do so or if there is any issues or if it cannot be done legally.
Thanks.

Hi Ft Mac.
Are you a fridge engineer or speculator?
Does Canada not have tighter rules on the use of R22 or do they play by their own rules like America?

Just filter and switch to propane if you want cheap, haha
Canada is mostly lock step with the US but not on everything.

Re: R22 ***** import to Canada from the U.S.
For example here you can not buy import or reuse R12, R-22 is in phase out of new systems, you can still get R-22 to install with old systems.

22 what, a bit like rocking horse droppings here. Most serious users changed out before phase out. Some wise guys stock piled it and now cannot get rid of it. What a shame. The prices hit huge dollars prior the phase out.

Re: R22 ***** import to Canada from the U.S.
North America is corporate driven. Phase out won't completely happen till the manufacturers have everyone on a drop in.. Tail wags the dog here, unlike Europe where (it seams) policy tells the corps what to do.

R22 is all but gone here still a few people on it the price is very expensive ,a while ago government backed incentives to aid retrofit some fools did not take it up and now they cry in their beer, wholesalers and gas supply companies have and still are making a killing.

There will never be a govt incentive for that over here, they couldn't care less. Note the promotion of the tar sands by our fine feathered friend in Ottawa.

long as we have cons and gutles liberals, the ndp are all corperat croonies, all our options are corrupt to the gills, we need a fresh reload, prefferably ones who know science and don't refer to evolution as "Just a theory" like herper!
But mean time R22 is availible and far as I know there is no bans on importing it, as to the paper work no idea, as we do have to account for the refrigerent tighter then the us does. Now in Redvers Sask.
