    Acid Test

    Hi Guys,

Any Thoughts appreciated, just went to carry out an Acid Test on a York Chiller, took the sample from the oil fill valve at the bottom of the compressor (scroll) and got a blast of refrigerant/oil, into the test bottle which turned yellow indicating high Acid levels, question is is this test still reliable taken from refrigerant and not pure oil?

    Thanks for any help.

    Re: Acid Test

The test reacts to acid, in a certain quantity.
Where this acid is doesn't matter.
