    Electrolux L52

    Hi all,

I have an old Electrolux Absorption 52 fridge that I'm looking
At converting to something more "modern". Is there any advice that someone
    Can give me?

Looks like it ran off gas, the only electrical thing I can see is the
    Door light.
It was made in South Africa by cj Fuchs licensed by AG electrolux if that helps as to what refrigerator it is, I've come up with nothing so far besides a caravan ("RV") repair centre telling me to toss it. I really don't want to and don't mind to put the hours in to get it working.

Would it be possible to covert this to a compressor refrigerator, not sure about the terminology, or anything else?

    Thanks in advance

It's not possible to convert an absorption fridge into a direct expansion fridge. They are totally different in design.

Sometimes these small absorption fridges can be revived and start working again if you turn them upside down for a few hours repeatedly to mix up the working fluid in the system. When its not connected to a power source obviously.☺
