    Daikin FHYC140KVE8 - RY140LUY1

    Hi guys

i have an E4 error code coming up on this unit.

I have checked the LP switch on the outdoor unit and bridged it out but the error still occurs. The unit actually never runs as soon as the unit it turned on the error code appears straight away.

I have checked the outdoor wiring diagram and there is a note on the LP sensor saying the following.

I have checked the HAP light and it does flash when I take out the no 2 terminal wire.

Has as anyone come across this before? It has really stumped me.

E4 is a comms error between Indoor and outdoor pcb's.
You have a K series indoor unit and an L series outdoor unit.
    These are not compatible

The plot thickens then! I'm probably looking at the wrong condenser!

    It must be Dementia onset...doh!

E4 is Low Pressure Switch...U4 is Comms error

In my defence, I've had a long few days and not much sleep....honest :-)

Is there any procedure for reseting alarms? It may be necessary to reset alarm after it's occurrence, and after it's cause has been eliminated.

    All good.
I had the wrong condenser. The coil has a leak on it and it has no gas. Hence the fault code.
