    Compressor Failures



    Anyone else see a lot of failures lately? Haven't fitted one fro months but in the last two weeks have had five fail!

    Four semi's and a scroll.


    Mostly found in Oxfordshire, UK :)

    I had a copeland scroll seized from manufacturer, guessing shipped on its side

    strange how things happen,me and another tech used to say its compressor week then t/stat week comp failures over here are due to the fluctuations in our climate thats my guess.

    ha ha its compressor week ! went to a call yesterday low on gas capillary line to l/p leaking fixed that topped up gas not cooling very well,returned today off with its head {prestcold 3hp semi} gave it a quick switch on/off low and behold one piston moves the other has fell out with the con rod! but when it was running not noisey at all so whoever started the post its money making time!
