Daikin rp71
Have got a fault e3 found gas leak which I fixed but fault keeps coming back. Have noticed compressor starts but fan dosent pressure builds up to about 420 psi then fan starts unit runs fine for a few hours cycling fine compressor is fixed speed so fan shud start same time as compressor. Fan seams good any ideas am thinking outdoor pcb anyone who has similar problems could you help us out cheers

2 speed cond fan, they start on low speed when comp starts- quick fix is to directly feed the fn off the out going side of the contactor- but fuse it for the fan

Had that many times.
I normally fit two auto-reset HP switches to control the fans directly.Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK

Ok fair enough but why is the fan not starting straight away hp switch seams ok it's a single fan condensor just strange it won't start till it gets to about 400 psi thought this fan was 1 speed

if 4 wires on the fan plug its 2 speed,run it in heating mode and the cond coil will lightly frost for about 4 mins then the fan will start- ive even tried replacing relays on the pcb as no 240v output

Also try moving the ambient air sensor from it's clip and push it into the coil fins.
