Help please. NVQ 3 Maths qestions

Hi guys I was wondering if you could help me. I'm currently doing a NVQ level 3 in refrigeration and have a teacher who is completely clueless about the course. this is pretty appalling after paying £4500.

Can someone point me in the direction on information to do with...
    Mass flow
    swept volume
    c.o.p
    cooling capacity
and many other related maths items.

I'd really like some info on the simplest forms of the equations if anybody has it.

    Many Thanks Chris

Get yourself a copy of 'Principles of Refrigeration' by R. J. Dossat.
I take it you're at a private college, not Grimsby, CNW London, or Southhampton?

Totally agree with Freezer Geezer, get a reference book.
Courses do not spoon feed you, they give over views and little support, it is up to you to do background study and learning. It is called the real world.
There is a truck load of info on the net. engineeringtoolbox for a start.

Thanks Freezer geezer I'll look that one up.

Magoo I know what the real world is pal, I'm not some wet behind the ears kid.!!! It would Just be useful to have someone confirm the facts after I've researched a topic due to the internet being a mine field of wrong information at times.

Some of the points you raise are level 2 questions, COP & Cooling capacity
to name a few so you should have covered this before, unless it was the
same "teacher who is completely clueless" who taught you level 2.

    COP is RE / WD
    Cooling capacity is RE

    For swept volume dee

    http://www.freestudy.co.uk/thermodynamics/t2201.pdf

It is based on air compressors but he explains swept volume excellently
and the science is the same.
