Concerned about noise off wall mounted external unit.

I already have an inverter split system installed in my lounge. The external unit sits on a slab outside which doesn't come into contact with the house. This was deliberate as I was worried about wall mounting the external unit because of the vibrations/noise being carried into my house.

I would like to get a 2nd inverter unit installed for my bedroom. My engineer has recommended wall mounting the new external unit. I am really concerned about the vibrations and noise in the house if I do this.

    Any thoughts?

there wont be any problems with wall mounting- the compressor is fixed via rubber mounts and if you use bbj type 2 brackets they also have rubber feet to absorb any noise- just make sure your indoor unit is going to be mounted on an external wall as the noisyiest bit is a condensate pump mounted on an plasterboard wall

    .

I agree with Install Monkey, modern brackets are
designed to eliminate the noise transfer from the
unit to the wall and if you then use vibration mounts
on the unit to the bracket the noise will be nonexistant.

    Regards
