    Question help needed in AC r22 gas refilling , confused with units

    hello,
    Please look at these images -

    My air conditioner specification -

    gauge image

    Now , when I convert 2.9 Mpa to PSi then it is coming 420PSI which is way too high for the Unit because the technician says the PSI in 1.2tone unit should be around 65PSI , this Video

    also says the PSI should be around 60-70 PSI for 1 HP compressor, I want to know how much PSI i need in my 1.2 tonne , 15,000 btu/h , 1.66hp Compressor capacity ? how can I convert those 2.9Mpa and 2.0Mpa to PSI of the gauge. Please tell me if there is any formula or something to get the actual PSI of the gauge, and why there are two PSI i.e. 420PSI and 60-70PSI ?

    Thanks

    It don't think you should be attempting this yourself. I get the impression you know nothing about AC. Have you found the leak on the system yet?? Have you pressure tested and strength tested with nitrogen? When you are sure your system is tight you need to use a vacuum pump before charging using charging scales. Get someone who is qualified to handle this for you.

    2.9mpa = 2900kpa
    2.0mpa = 2000kpa

    Above pressures are maximum test pressure for pipework & components in system, NOT running pressures.

    1 psi = 7kpa approximately (near enough).

    Once you turn it on & completed above mentioned tests suction pressure will be around 70psi when room down to temperature , approximately 22 deg C

    Its better to get very accurate scales to know you are adding correct refrigerant charge, in your case 850 grams.
    If you put to much in you will also experience problems.

    As stated best to get someone who knows refrigeration!
