Troubleshooting for A/C
Alright lads,
This is my 1st post on here.
I've been doing A/C for a few years now but mainly install n maintenance / basic fault finding( changing comps pcbs etc )
I'm after maybe some books to learn fault finding methods.
The engineer I worked with was a bit of a **** ,I'd be on jobs with him n I'd be asking whys that happening or whatever n I'd just kind of get a half arsed explanation as if he couldn't be arsed teaching me.
I've recently got a new job n what's funny is I've learnt more in the past 12months than I did in the years I worked alongside him, I'm not completely blaming him as the manager at that company purposely wouldn't send me or some of the other lads as if well they they don't really know as much so he'd just send the same engineer just to get the job done.
Sorry for the story but just wanted to explain
Cheers

Re: Troubleshooting for A/C
your problem of not getting good experience and knowledge from your trainer/engineer- is not uncommon, my lad started doin ac- in the 2yrs he wasnt allowed to work with me-"to enable him to learn"- they put him with the useless retards that spray coil cleaner at a cassette fan blade when its running to "clean the evap"- after the company went bump he's learnt more in the last 10 months- but still lacks knowledge- like when his gaff send him to a lennox lch803 chiller to look at changing a screw comp weighing about 550kg- he's never done a pot change on anything! - anyways rant over i'll post some links for ya

Re: Troubleshooting for A/C
best option is to get service manuals for the kit you work on, as its hard work being a pornstar and a fridgy

Re: Troubleshooting for A/C
Hey guys, I am new here, here is a nice website from my home country, which has a huge database with air-con documents:
Catalogues:
http://www.climamarket.bg/documentspage?docs=catalogs
User Manuals:
http://www.climamarket.bg/documentspage?docs=operation
Installation Manuals:
http://www.climamarket.bg/documentspage?docs=assembly
Service Manuals:
http://www.climamarket.bg/documentspage?docs=service
Technical Data Books:

The guys update these documents quite often and here in Bulgaria a lot of use their website for reference.

Hi, pretty much all of them for the Panasonic, Samsung, Toshiba and Carrier are in english. Only the descriptions of the links are in bulgarian.

Re: Troubleshooting for A/C
I don't know how to edit my previous post, look for EN in the end of the title, means ENglish. The documents, which have BG in the end are in bulgarian and rest which do not have EN or BG are in english.
