Mini foldaway scaffold.
Im sure most of you guys have encountered similar situations.I
I'm working on a site that has a no ladders or hop up policy...... coupled with a proper jobsworth site manager.
These podium jobbys are useless, You end up working like quasi modo, or working off the wrungs, so your defeating the so called safety object.
What make of foldaway mini scaffolds do you guys use/recommend, as Im going to purchase one.
Cheers

Re: Mini foldaway scaffold.
I agree, the podiums are pointless and aren't fit for purpose.
I don't understand why step ladders aren't allowed on some site. I think the HSE recommendation with step ladders are not that they shouldn't be used but that they should only be used for a maximum of 30 minutes and then you have to have a short break from using them, even if it means climbing down for a minute or so.
Irenewed my pasma (scaffold) certificate the other day and even the trainer was slating the podiums.
On another note have you seen the new scaffold towers? Rather than having the straight and diagonal braces, you have a complete section for each side that connects both end frames. So much easier than having the braces and so much quicker. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.

Re: Mini foldaway scaffold.
The Teletowers are excellent and easily transportable with good height variations. Go for the fiberglass version to cover you when working on electrics.
