    Brema C300A Ice maker problem

    Hi guys!

Hope someone can help me with this.
This ice maker runs ok for about 2 cycles (makes ice, goes into harvest and drops ice)
Then the bottom evaporator starts icing up and the top evaporator, which holds the thermostat, does not make ice anymore.
The machine just keeps on running and does not go into harvest.
Interestingly both the top and underside of the bottom evaporator become covered with ice..

btw I have pressure tested the unit over 48hours and weighed in a new charge
    Any ideas?
    Have a nice day!!

    Thats an unusual one,
I work on these a bit and have had bottom evap icing up, but the top normally makes ice ok. I have relocated the evap stat from the top evap to the bottom evap and it stops bottom evap icing up. The evaps are teed equally so no evap gets refrigerant first if u follow.
Both evaps have cappillarys and the charge is critical.
    Hope this helps

    What is ambient air temperature?

Are you sure that your refrigerant is free from moisture? What was your end vacuum level in microns? Did you done vacuum test?

What are your saturation temperatures and superheat during ice making cycle? What are your saturation temperatures during harvest?
