K plus vrv outdoor unit off

    Chaps

we have inherited a building with a r407c kplus system which the sparks turned off the outdoor unit some 2 weeks ago (building being referb'ed) but not one controller threw up a U4 fault and continued to run.

So how can a vrv lose the outdoor unit and not throw up a fault??

    Up in Kensington???

Had the same thing occur on a site a few years ago, turned out the comms cable was "networked" between all the systems. As long as one outdoor unit had power all the indoor units were happy.

closer to home in reading. They do have another (newer) system but I'm sure that isn't linked... The boss of the sparks thought it was 'spare' in the main distribution board so had it in mind to save a few quid on the job he was going to use that particular main breaker to power some new fuseboards going in..
