Does anyone make a reliable mechanical refrigeration thermostat?
...because we're about fed up with White-Rodgers 1609-101 stats. We've used them for years, but QC seems bad lately. I had one dead out of the box last Thursday, and another one this week that failed in less than a year, to cite two recent examples.
I've seen Ranco thermostats that look like a pressure switch. Are they any good? How about the Johnson A19?

Ranco, Danfoss, saginomiya. all are good thermostats.
just make sure that you dont over load them.

Problem is that most of this stuff noted above is not industry standard in the USA like WR and some Honeywell is. I use a lot of the A419 and they are often a better price than the mechanical ones.

Traditional brands mentioned above are always reliable for me. I have depended on them for the past 20 years without problems

Danfoss thermostat (looks like lp switch) best one i have used
