    Daikin VRV2 L8 fault

    Hi guys
I have been to a system this week which was not running. I started up and system seemed to run fine but have attended next morning to find L8 fault which I understand to be a compressor issue. I reset again and same result following morning, L8 fault present. when now reset slave condensor runs but nothing on master, compressor starts but then stops.
ran a test mode and got UF??

    system is as follows
    REYQ14M8W1B MASTER
    REYQ16M8W1B SLAVE

    APPROX 9 INDOOR UNITS

cant phone technical from site of condensers, is it just a faulty main/inverter compressor??
    any tips appreciated, thanks.

    L8

    Inverter compressor over-current

Abnormal high pressor increase due to blockage of the refrigerant circuit and others.
    Defective compressor.

    UF

    Mis-match of piping and wiring

Improper connection indoor/outdoor and outdoor/outdoor units feed wiring

    Re: Daikin VRV2 L8 fault

REYQ14M8W1B is maste unit which is lowest HP unit, is that ok???

I have taken off panels to start looking and obviously someone has looked before as all jackets are open. There are 3 motors left to right one (larger) with oil return. I havent dealt with these loads, am I correct that the INV comp is (to the left) connected with oil return and cables from compressor go through to INV board behind main board and connect on X11a??

The inverter compressor is normally on the left and, as you say, connects to the inverter pcb.

Have you carried out an insulation test on the pot/pots.

Are the F1 F2 cables terminated correctly?
