Butting two air conditioners together to produce extreme cold.

    Hello,

Does the temperature of the hot side of an air conditioner (AC) effect the temperature of the evaporator?

I imagine putting the hot side of a 5,000 btu AC in a fluid filled insulated container of sorts with the cold side of a 10,000 btu AC, would this, making the hot side of the 5,000 btu AC very cold, make the cold side of the 5,000 btu AC run much colder?

The goal isn't to produce just a lot of cold, but a really low temperature of at least -80c.

Answer to Q1. Yes. There is more to it though.
    Answer to Q2. Basically NO.
Air-conditioners aren't designed for low temperature work. They are meant for comfort cooling/ heating in the range or +18 C to + 30 ish C. (Room temperature.)
    - 80 Degrees C requirements is a completely different ball game. More equipment and lots of money.
