    Advantage M1D-10ARC Chiller

I've been working with a 10 ton Advantage M1D process chiller unit. It is a air-cooled portable water chiller unit used in conjunction with a KeepRite remote condenser (KCL016).

For the first 10 months, everything seemed to work fine. The unit held a setpoint of 60°F without any issues by cycling the capacity control of the compressor every 15 seconds. When it did turn on the capacity control, it cut power to the remote condenser fan - is this normal?

This short cycling, appeared to cause the fan to prematurely fail (seize) after 11 months. The short cycling also seemed to cause the P66 controller in the KeepRite to fail prematurely (13 months).

Has anyone had any experience with the Advantage Process Chiller Units?
There must be a better way than to just cut the power to the remote condenser, isn't there?

    Thanks,
    David.

head pressure control req- permantly feed your cond fan, (bypass the switch that originally powers it on/off or increase set pressure) fit head pressure control kit to your remote fan, mount sensor, this will regulate the speed of the fan giving better performance and keep pressures more stable
