Hi,

Ive had a service call to a multi cabinet remote condensor r22 fridge system. The compressor was tripping on overload, and after replacement and a test i discovered the reason was due to liquid flood back. There are 2 cabinets, a small 2 door drinks display fridge and a wine cold well. The system only floods when the fridge cycles on temp. Ive played around with the TXV on the cold well, I found the TXV bulb loose and located on a sloppy weld which has now been rectified. I would like to know how to determine the capacity of the cold well as I have a feeling either the valve or the orifice inside the valve is oversized. System charge I beleive is not an issue due to a good subcooling.

Well dimensions: 1300mm long, 220mm wide, 180mm deep.

There is no identification on the well as im guessing its a custom job.

Valve is a danfoss TX2 68z3281, no orifice identification, will have to pump down!

Thanks!
