R404A to R407F
Hello everybody ,
I need information about R407F performance. I googled but not convinced. So what are you thinking about R407F ?
I have a Plug-in freezer with 3 doors and 2 doors. They uses R404a but i need to change them to R407F , they have Tecumseh hermetic comps.
Basicly, Can i charge R407F to Tecumseh comp which uses R404A ?
What must be change in the system?

Re: R404A to R407F
The compressor would probably be ok as R407F is similar to R22/R404A
The likely problem is going to be the expansion device, if the system has a capillary tube it will be too high a flow for R407F and will need changing, if it has a thermostatic expansion valve, it will either need a new orifice or replacement to one suited to R22.
Best to stick with R404A, or even R507 in my opinion.Mostly found in Oxfordshire, UK :)
