Ha ha,it's easy if you know your stuff and the place that I took mine ran a refresher course if you needed it,I was thinking of doing the gas safe plus the co2 one just to improve my wisdom.

    .

    How long is the course?

In the exam you will need to know about general measurements, things
like mass, volume, enthalpy, temperature and pressure.
You will need to know what happens inside the fridge system and what
happens if something changes. Things like condensing temps, evap temps
and what happens if you change them.
You will need to know about the refrigerant and what it is doing in different
parts of the system, things like saturation temp in the evaporator and condenser
saturation temperatures, then compare the liquid subcooling and suction superheat.

They will expect you to know about the effects of too small an orifice or too large
an orifice inside the expansion valve. You will need to know why capillary tubes work.
Things like what would happen if the TEV bulb became detached.

And then it will require you to know about health and safety.

    Regards

    Rob
