Trane 2E5K61N compressor loading / unloading

    Hi
We have been asked to convert a Trane 2E5K61N compressor to have 3 stages of unloading / loading, at present it has none.
Does anyone have a list of what parts are required and if these parts are available, I have some info on Trane compressors but not enough.
The client will probably not proceed when they find out how much it's going to cost to do the conversion.
    Thanks
    Paul

    Hi IM
I have limited info as I have been asked to assist with this one. The system is a coolroom on R22, it has 2 Trane comps one has 3 stages of unloading (solenoids on the side cover) and one has the internal unloading similar to the Carrier 5H comps apparently.
I haven't seen the installation as it is in Melbourne.

Hi you need 75hp motor. 4 unloading Liner sleeves complete with springs and lifter pins.4 sets of orings for liner sleeves.3 solonoids valves with 9 orings. The side cover is special because it has oil channels and a small filter. Internal pipe work for 4 cyclinders.and 4 brass pins with oil hole in centre and each has 2 orings on it and the liner with unloading sleeves sit on them..the centre bank is always fully loaded and the side banks are uloaded

easy option- just run the 1 with 3 external unloaders as your 1st compressor- u said 1 has internal unloaders- is there external solonoid bodies?- cant find any info on that comp model

last resort- stick an inverter drive on it and start it up at 33% output then 66% output then 100% over a timed start up

GHAZ - Thanks Do you have a parts list you can send me?
IM - I think this is how it is running at the moment, and there are no external solenoids. I am not sure why they want to change it as the guy who asked me to assist him is on leave at the moment. I will quiz him out further when he is back.
