    Vogt Ice machine

Been asked to retro-fit a 5 tonne r22 Ice machine to suit a new drop in and move to a new site. I've been told that these things are a bit sensitive and that I might want to stay away from it?

I was hoping it would be a simple new drier, valve and drop in R22d?

Can anybody give me any advice?

    NewmanRef,
I think you need to be prepared to spend a bit of time with it as yes they are a bit sensitive.
They need a slight flood back towards end of cycle for oil return.
Have you checked to see if you need to change Tx Valve, as it might save a bit of time if ,you don't.
    Manuals on Vogt site.

    ISCEON® MO29 is a good drop in.
Replace drier only, good vacuum and you might need to adjust TXV but do it close to end of cycle.

Thanks for your help gents. Both replies much appreciated. I am going to have a better look at this in the new year and may be in touch if I have any other questions. I have tried emailing Vogt technical for there recommendations as well but no replies so far.
