I recently purchased an air compressor...for the workshop
It says, make sure you fill with oil before you start
Would any member know what type of oil I use.......??

Re: Air Compressor
Hi if it's a reciprocating compressor I use the same oil that I put into ammonia compressors of that type e.g. Grasso RC 11 Shell Clavuse 68, this seems to be OK in my compressor in my workshop. It is 9 years old now and still in good working order.

Re: Air Compressor
Any good engine oil should do it Abe.
Being a new purchase and having a handbook surely there is some specification section, or am I getting too old?Brian - Newton Abbot, Devon, UK
