Companies who dangle a carrot in front of you, then ask you to register by gaining all sorts of info about you so they can use the info for marketing purposes................really grate me.
If you want to give something, give it with no strings or expectance of favours being returned.
I went to the site, then it said.........register
So I departed

Hi, Abe
I don't think there is much in the way of commercial self interest with this site as it is a university site.
