Step Control in Electrical Heaters

Hello

It would good if help to understand the Step control in electrical heaters. May be for example 6 step control. The different combination we can get with a different loads and how to optimise the Digital Outputs in a controllers with max. steps.

get thyristor controlled ones- they regulate the output depending on the supply air sensor- bettr than having contactors clunking in and out

Thanks for your suggestion. I wish to do that, but there is a requirement that I need to develop a control algorithm for having a step control. I wish to understand the method involved.
